Forxiga is an oral diabetes medicine that contains dapagliflozin as an active ingredient. It helps to control blood sugar levels by removing excess sugar of your body from urine. Forxiga is used as alone or together with some other Anti diabetic medications that may help to enhance its pharmaceutical activity. It can be prescribed to the patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Â
2How to use it ?
Forxiga tablets can be used with or without food, but it is beneficial to take it regularly at the same time. Swallow the drug as a whole and don't chew, crush or break the tablet. It is used with diet and exercise to improve the effectiveness of the drug or to control the blood sugar level.Â
3What if I miss a dose or overdose?
If you forgot to take a dose, then don't be panicked about it, skip the dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don't take both the doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose, it may lead to overdose.Â
If you take higher doses than the prescribed dose then it leads to overdose that always needs urgent medical supervision. Consult with your physician or pharmacist if you overdose or call any poison control centre right away.Â
