Repaglinide is a prescription drug that belongs to a class of medication called meglitinides. It is sold in the market under various trade names, Prandin is one of them. It is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by enhancing the synthesis of insulin from pancreas and thereby helps to maintain the sugar level of blood.Â
2How to use Prandin ?
It is used with diet and exercise for controlling the sugar level of blood. It is recommended to take 30 minutes before eating a meal. Swallow the drug as whole and don't chew, crush or break the tablet. Take the dose exactly advised or prescribed by your physician.Â
3What if I miss a dose or overdose of Prandin?
If you forgot to take a dose, then don't be panicked about it, skip the dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don't take both the doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose.
