1Why is Galvus prescribed?

Vildagliptin, an oral drug that can be sold in the market under various trade names,Galvus the most common brand name that is easily available in the market. It is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients either alone or in combination with other Anti Diabetic medications. It helps by lowering the production of sugar level in blood. 

2How to use it?

It is highly recommended to take a single dose regularly at the same time. Galvus tablets can be taken before, during or after the meal. Swallow the drug as a whole and don't chew, crush or break the tablet.. It is recommended to take the dose exactly as advised by your physician. 

3What if I miss a dose or overdose:

If you forgot to take a dose, then don't be panicked about it, skip the dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don't take both the doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose.

If you take higher doses than the prescribed dose then it leads to overdose that always needs urgent medical supervision. Consult with your physician or pharmacist if you overdose or call any poison control centre right away.
