1Why is Lipaglyn prescribed?

Lipaglyn is an oral, prescription drug that contains a salt called saroglitazar. It is prescribed for the treatment of dyslipidemia in type 2 diabetic patients. It is also effective in maintaining the lipid parameters like high triglycerides, and high blood sugar level. As the effect of medicine may vary from person to person so it is advisable to consult your physician before using the drug. 

2How to use it?

Lipaglyn tablets can be taken with or without food. It is better to take without meal each day at the same time to get a more beneficial effect. Swallow the drug as a whole and don't chew, crush or break the tablet. 

3What if I miss a dose or overdose?

If you missed any dose of Lipaglyn tablet then skip the previous dose and go back to your regular routine. Consult your physician if you forget to take any dose. Don't take two doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose. 

If you take higher doses than the prescribed dose then it may cause some serious complications that need emergency medical attention. Overdose may show some severe side-effects consult your physician right away or call any poison control centre.
