Precose is the trade name of "Acarbose" medicine. This prescription drug is used in treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2 and, in some countries, prediabetes. It is a generic sold in North America as Precose, and in Canada as Prandase. Precose(Acarbose) tablets are generally recommended to take it with the first bite of your meal. 3What if I miss a dose or overdose?

If you missed any dose due to some reason, then take that dose as early as you remember. You may take the drug within 15 minutes after meal if you remember otherwise skip that dose and continue with the regular schedule. Don't take both the doses at a time to catch up the missed dose.
